Calling something evil is tricky business. The “evil” label is a warning. We are saying that what we are talking about is more serious than other struggles we face. Yet, the overuse of the word evil diminishes the warning. The Bible is more careful than we are at labeling things evil. Maybe that’s why it surprises me when it describes partiality as evil. Here’s my question – How is partiality evil?
