Trusting Peace

One response to “Trusting Peace”

  1. This blog really spoke to me as I read it again. It caused me to reflect on the basic trust and faith I have in my life. I have learned some people are to be trusted and some are not, even if they are someone who SHOULD be the one you trust. What I have learned by trusting in God and having faith in Him, is that I can depend on Him and look to Him when I can’t trust in someone. That brings me great peace, and I don’t have to be afraid. Since I’ve learned of His true love for me and not just for ‘other people’, I can trust that He knows and sees and can be depended on. If something is not going well, but I know I’m doing what and being where God wants me, I can trust that He has a plan. In that trust there is a peace and a waiting. The waiting is waiting for the time when God will reveal His glory in the situation. I may not like what is going on, and at times I may be even afraid. However, it’s like a trusting child looking up to his daddy and putting his hand in his daddy’s hand even as circumstances may be bad around them. In that trust and in that waiting on God is a peace that passes all understanding.
