“That man is so Heavenly minded that he is of no earthly good.”? The quote is a warning of sorts. It is a warning against a type of religion that makes a person disconnected from the real problems and struggles of everyday life. Sometimes, it is a warning about unplugging from this life because a person is waiting for Heaven. At other times it is a warning about a type of holiness that makes a person unapproachable or even unrealistic. It is that “too holy” type of holiness that we are talking about today.
